★Like there's any way I could ever do that.
喬伊看到桌上有煎餅,問:「哇~你做的煎餅嗎?」
而這裡錢德用很自嘲的口氣回答:「是喔~好像我真的會做煎餅咧!?」
(這句話真正的意思就是:這盤煎餅當然不可能是錢德做的。)

★hysterical, -Adjective
(1) of, pertaining to, or characterized by hysteria.
(2) uncontrollably emotional.
(3) irrational from fear, emotion, or an emotional shock.
(4) causing hysteria.
(5) suffering from or subject to hysteria.
(6) causing unrestrained laughter; very funny: Oh, that joke is hysterical!
基本上Janice的笑聲可說就是這個形容詞的經典代表作~
尤其她的笑聲又是那種可怕的high-pitch & seems never-ended....恐怖喔~~

~sarcastic和ironic都有譏諷的意思在裡頭,不過適用的場合似乎有點不一樣?

★sarcastic, -Adjective
(1) of, pertaining to, or characterized by sarcasm: a sarcastic reply.
(2) using or given to the use of sarcasm: to be sarcastic about ambition.

★ironic, -Adjective
(1) containing or exemplifying irony: an ironic novel; an ironic remark.
(2) ironical.
(3) coincidental; unexpected: It was ironic that I was seated next to my ex-husband at the dinner.

感覺上,sarcastic比較偏向用言語、表情等等的方式去「譏諷」別人;而ironic比較像是一種命運的捉弄嘲笑,好比Romeo&Juliet的結局,就非常ironic.

★Here's a thought.
這句話最好小心點使用,不要隨便亂講亂現,字面上看來跟"I have an idea"差不多,實際上大不相同!

--"Here's a thought." is a sarcastic phrase. It is a rude way to tell people what you want them to do. So, usually you don't say this to others, unless you're being sarcastic. Normally, you don't want to say that to people.

--If you said, "Here's a thought. blah, blah....." They are expecting you to be rude and feel confused if you aren't rude.

--So, if you want to give someone a hard time, you could say this sentence.

e.g. Here's a thought. Why don't you do the dishes that are in the sink?

e.g. Here's a thought. Why don't you clean the moniter on your computer screen that I can actually look at?

e.g. Here's a thought. Why don't you show up to save some time?
