以下為slang

 1. face-off

  e.g. You and me need a face-off. (這裡我覺得意思有點怪怪的?)

 2. flaky

  e.g. I'm not expecting Lisa would come, because she's flaky.

 3. flashback

  e.g. I had a flashback to my childhood.

 4. deja-vu [法] 似曾相識的感覺

*5. at the eleventh hour 剛好,及時,在最後一刻

  e.g. The fire engine came to the fire spot at the eleventh hour before it began to spread.

  e.g. I looked everywhere to find my passport. Then I found it at the eleventh hour.

  ▲ at the thirteenth hour

 6. (as) easy as pie: very easy

  e.g. The midterm should be easy as pie if you prepare well.

 7. It's like an apple pie. (表示 very American)



以下為其他雜記

 1. S.th is the best thing since ____________ (空白任意填,多半是sliced bread或blue jeans)

   If something is the best thing since sliced bread, it is excellent. ('The greatest thing since sliced bread' is also used.)

  e.g. Net Bank is the best thing since sliced bread.

  e.g. With the Sony Walkman and its clones, we could tote around our own music without imposing it on everyone else. For teenagers everywhere, this was the best thing since blue jeans and vending machines.

 2. I'm on board. = I agree with that.

  e.g. That's a great idea, I'm on board.

 3. stress

   S.b feels stressed. (某人壓力很大)

   =\= S.b is stressful. (這個人讓我快瘋了)

   (要注意字尾變化,人用ed,事用ful)

  e.g. S.b feels stressed.
  e.g. S.th is stressful.

   (或者加 out)

  e.g. I'm stressed out.
  e.g. She freaks out.
